Kalinko is the volleyball club of The Hague and Scheveningen. We offer volleyball for all age groups and all levels, from recreation to high level competition. We have almost 600 members from 4 to 70 years old. These players are all divided in youth, recreation, and senior competition sections.
Our home base is sport hall Houtrust (Laan van Poot 22), but we also often train in sport hall Gaslaan (Gaslaan 200), and sometimes in other gyms in the neighborhood. Our season runs from the end of August to the end of April. We play matches on Friday evenings (from 19:00-23:00) and Saturdays (from 12:30-18:00) in Houtrust. You are always welcome to come and watch.
Kalinko stands for pleasure, high performance, safety and sportsmanship. We expect that our members respect and abide by these values while they are playing volleyball.
Membership at Kalinko means many new social contacts. After practices and after games you can have a drink in the canteen with your team. Alongside volleyball, we organize other activities, such as two large parties per year, the New Year’s tournament (oliebollentoernooi) and our season closing beach volleyball tournament. The club is made up of volunteers. We expect that every member takes on various volunteer roles.

As you might expect in an international city like The Hague, Kalinko has members that come from more than 10 different nationalities. The main language is Dutch, but most trainers and players (even the children) speak English as well. If you want to have training in English, please note this on your application. Training in other languages in Enlglish and Dutch is not yet possible.
